DR SARWAR SAYS

I am delighted to herald the arrival of an extraordinary innovation that transcends the ordinary bounds of aesthetic enhancement – the HALO by Sciton.

This hybrid fractional laser seamlessly amalgamates the virtues of both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths. HALO transcends traditional dermatological treatments by merging the depth of ablative therapies with the gentleness of non-ablative procedures. This fusion results in significant, yet graceful, rejuvenation—diminishing signs of ageing and hyperpigmentation while minimising downtime, allowing for a swift return to daily life.

DEFINITION

The world’s first hybrid fractional laser. HALO works on the damage you can and cannot see, targeting years of skin damage and the visible signs of ageing by combining deep dermal revitalisation with epidermal renewal.

EFFECT

The effect of the HALO laser treatment is a comprehensive improvement in skin texture, tone, and clarity. Patients can expect a significant reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and enlarged pores. Additionally, the HALO laser promotes the skin’s natural healing process, stimulating collagen production for long-lasting firmness and elasticity.

SCIENCE

The science behind Sciton’s HALO Laser is deeply rooted in its unique hybrid technology, which cleverly combines two types of laser wavelengths in a single treatment. The first, an ablative wavelength, removes the outermost layers of dead and damaged skin cells, prompting immediate surface-level improvements such as enhanced skin texture and tone. Simultaneously, the non-ablative wavelength penetrates deeper into the skin without removing the surface layer, targeting the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production. This dual action encourages the skin’s natural healing process, leading to long-term rejuvenation and structural skin improvements.

Procedure

Before beginning the procedure, a numbing cream is applied to the treated area to ensure comfort. The device seamlessly glides over the skin during the session, with built-in cooling mechanisms maintaining patient ease throughout. Following the session, it’s common for individuals to experience a sensation of warmth in the treated area for about 30 to 60 minutes, which may extend somewhat longer after more intensive treatments. We apply an incredible cooling mask, which helps enormously.

Downtime/Aftercare

During the first 24 hours after the treatment, you should follow your clinician’s instructions to protect your skin. However, after that period, you can resume your normal activities. It’s important to note that your skin will start to peel after the first 24 hours, but you can still wear makeup.

CENTRAL LONDON SKIN CLINIC

faq

HALO is a cutting-edge skin revitalisation laser treatment that dramatically enhances your skin’s appearance. It effectively reduces fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, and hyperpigmentation, boosting skin reflectivity and glow.

Beyond the capabilities of MOXI in addressing various skin issues, Halo offers a more profound penetration into the skin layers. This deeper reach renders it exceptionally effective for tackling more persistent skin concerns, including pronounced pigmentation, wrinkles, and scars.

The number of HALO treatments required varies based on individual goals and skin conditions. Our experts at Skin Science Clinic will work with you to tailor a treatment plan that meets your specific needs and preferences. You may prefer to receive one or two aggressive treatments or multiple gentle treatments to achieve the same goal over a more extended period.

A HALO session at Skin Science Clinic involves a few key steps for optimal comfort and effectiveness. We start by applying a topical anaesthetic to numb the treatment area. Then, we ensure precise coverage using motion tracking technology as the HALO handpiece uniformly rolls over your skin. We then apply a cooling mask.

Thanks to the preparatory steps we take at Skin Science Clinic, patients typically report minimal discomfort during their HALO treatment. Most patients report experiencing a sensation of warmth accompanied by occasional prickles during the treatment, but overall, they find it quite tolerable.

Visible improvements can appear as early as two to five days post-treatment, with continued enhancement over time. Our aesthetician ensures you’re well-informed about what to expect during recovery.

The transformative effects of HALO treatments can endure for years. Most patients observe the most significant improvement in pigmentation within the initial two to three weeks. This period is succeeded by a phase of dermal regeneration, which leads to continued enhancements over the following months.
