Our patient has kindly shared her before-and-after photographs following her first Profhilo Structura treatment. An early improvement in lower-face support and contour can already be seen after this first session. Dr Sarwar performed the treatment using a cannula, placing the product along the mandible and into the superficial pre-auricular fat compartment as part of her personalised treatment plan. She will return in four weeks for her second session, which forms part of the planned treatment course.

Science

The structure and volume of adipose tissue undergo significant changes as we age. Ageing-related modifications include the loss of adipose tissue volume and stiffness.

This results in fat repositioning or shifting, particularly in the middle cheek, leading to increased hollows and a flattening of facial angles. The loss of fat volume is especially pronounced in the lateral cheek compartments.

Procedure

We apply strong topical anaesthesia to the targeted area for approximately 10 minutes before the treatment. Once the anaesthesia has taken effect, Dr Sarwar will proceed with the injections.
