DEFINITION
Secret PRO takes an innovative approach to dermatological treatment by uniquely combining two clinically proven technologies, fractional CO2 laser for optimal superficial skin resurfacing and radio frequency microneedling (RF Microneedling) to stimulate collagen production from the deeper skin layers.
No foreign gels or toxins are used in this procedure – it all works by strongly stimulating your own collagen production.

Who is this treatment suitable for? This treatment helps to improve sagging skin, skin texture, tone, lift lax/crepey skin, acne scars, surgical scars, hyperpigmentation, skin laxity, stretch marks and open pores. It can be used on virtually any part of the body!
SCIENCE
The Secret RF is an incredibly unique machine. The treatment initially provides varying radiofrequency energy through microneedles at different skin depths (0.5mm-3.5mm). The treatment may then be completed with a fractionated co2 laser, which targets the superficial layer of your skin.
Co2 lasers are renowned for being the gold standard for skin resurfacing, targeting chromophore water.
Fractional treatments leave parts of the skin untouched, which results in faster healing whilst minimising possible risks and side effects. Combining these two treatments allows both the epidermis (superficial) and dermis (deep) layers to be fully treated, stimulating new collagen and hyaluronic acid levels at every level.
This results in multiple skin benefits as listed above, all with minimal downtime due to combination of two different technologies.
PROCEDURE
We perform a full clinical assessment, ensuring the treatment is suitable for you.
Pre-procedure we apply a strong topical numbing agent for 60 minutes.
During the needling/radio frequency procedure, you may feel pressure, tingling and warmth from the microneedles themselves. The treatment is tolerated very well.
Following this, if required the co2 laser will be applied over your treatment area, the laser creates thousands of micro-perforations within your skin. This is also tolerated very well from a pain perspective.
A cooling, hydrating face mask is applied for 15 minutes, followed by in-depth post-treatment instructions with one of our therapists/doctors.

WHAT MAKES RF MICRONEEDLING BETTER THAN STANDARD MICRONEEDLING?
This treatment delivers precise radiofrequency energy into the dermis which triggers a much stronger collagen response (results are therefore more impressive)
This machine provides faster healing time as the needles are delivered into the skin very gently through a controlled motor rather than stamping.
HOW DOES RF MICRONEEDLING WORK?
Microneedles penetrate the skin, after which Bipolar RF energy denatures the tissue surrounding the micro-needles. This triggers a cascade of collagen remodelling and the production of elastin.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
The downtime will be very much dependent upon your skin concerns and the settings used during the treatment itself. RF/microneedling has minimal downtime consisting of a day or so of redness. The photo of our patient here illustrates the immediate redness during the procedure (half of her face has been treated), this subsides over 48 hours.
Co2 laser can lead to warmth, redness of the skin for 3-5 days which can be covered with makeup if necessary. Scabbing/peeling of skin can also occur for 4-5 days post treatment.
